Be sure to have in-depth conversations with each one, and choose the one you vibe with the most.  You will be working very closely with this person to help bring all of your ideas to life. If you are having difficulties nailing down a florist ask your venue! They work with florists just about every weekend. So, they should have some great recommendations for you. 3. Select Your Cake Designer/Baker

Schedule a cake tasting session with potential cake designers or bakers. Taste test different flavors and designs to find the perfect cake for your celebration. You might also look around for any local wedding expo’s or open houses that are scheduled in your area. This is a great opportunity to get a small taste of what your cake and dessert vendors have to offer without having to have a formal sit down meeting.

Now you just have to narrow down the flavors. Be sure to have pencil and paper when tasting. Once you’ve mixed flavors together you will want to remember what the exact combination was!

4. Arrange Accommodations for Guests

Call local hotels to inquire about room blocks for out-of-town guests. Consider where YOU plan to stay on the night of the wedding. You will need to arrange for transportation. If your venue has onsite lodging, that’s a bonus!
